A Tumble Turn!

Standard

Last November 20th, we went back to YMCA Manila where we are taking our lessons in swimming. We kept our hopes high that Coach Obet will be there and accept our explanation why we didn’t attend last two months. It was a jaw dropping scenario when we saw the entrance closed with hollow blocks. FUDGE!! Only to find out that the entrance was just moved farther on the left side.

Coach Obet is there and what we get is “O nabuhay kayo?!” response. We explained to him what happened and lucky for us, he agreed that we’ll finish the last four sessions. We owe him so much and he’s very kind to us, very far from what his student that we spoke with that Coach is a bit strict and he got yells from him. We’re just thankful Coach is not hard on us. Something to be happy about. 🙂

We’re also surprised that YMCA was renovated. I will post the newly renovated pool area. We had our first of last four sessions last Friday morning, and the other two sessions will be this Wednesday and Friday.

FDA: Failure due to absences

I’m back! I’ve been busy with my work and school at the same time which is tiring.

This is an update about our swimming lessons at YMCA and sadly we weren’t able to finish the course. We still have 4 sessions left when unexpected events happened. We are so eager to finish the lessons but me and my friends schedules are not matched. It also happened that previous class suspensions affected our weekly schedule. Making this short, we only finished until breast stroke and weren’t able to study butterfly which is the hardest.

We’re planning to go back to talk to our coach and still hope he would allow us to finish the last 4 lessons. (fingers crossed)

This started when my friend and I found some ad over the internet for a swimming lessons for Php 2,500 for 6 sessions located near the school we attended. For all the outings we attended we just ended up in the shallow part of the pool and last summer we suddenly wanted to try surfing. Of course, we’re not stupid to try surfing without learning how to swim.

When we inquired about the course, the lessons was already started however the receptionist Cherie told us that we can take the beginner course which is 12 sessions for Php 3,500. Not bad man for the fact that we can choose what day we can we fit our schedule with our instructor who is Coach Obet.

So there I let you know the progress (hopefully). Fingers Crossed.
